My week at a glance
Its amazing how quickly I allowed myself to forget that I had to return to this place during the past week of leave. I’m glad I did; at least I managed to enjoy the brief respite from this stifling confined environment. The break, however short, was extremely welcome.
I’m also happy that I managed to accomplish a respectable amount of stuff during the past week, instead of just lying on my bed watching shows everyday. Of course, I still did that, just less.
Saturday was spent @ Dempsey, as blogged about previously. Sunday I went for Bible Study, and went on to book my driving lessons for the week. 6 lessons during this short week, more cramped than I would have initially liked, but there wasn’t much of a choice seeing as the weekday prices were 10 bucks cheaper per lesson.
Okay, so driving. It actually progressed faster than I had originally expected plus its pretty fun too, if u get nice instructors. After six lessons I’m gonna be progressing to the more tedious parts of the syllabus soon I guess. Hope I learn fast! Only problem is I can’t seem to find time to fit in the lessons :/ my weekends are too precious to squander on driving lessons, but there doesn’t seem to be anymore off days :( sigh, guess it’ll have to do…
On thursday I also took my lnat, at international plaza. Despite their reminder, I managed to forget my passport (super dumb) and had to ask my dad to go home and help me get it. Love my dad cuz he always comes through for me. :) Anw, 45 mins after the test started I reentered the examination office and sat for it. Have to thank the personnel for allowing me to take the test too, otherwise I would have to reschedule and that would be another major pain in the ass.
Speaking of which, after freezing my ass off on the cold kino floor for many hours, I managed to finish reading Inheritance, the final installment of the Eragon series. Heehee I’m quite pleased with myself for completing the book 5 days after it was published :D the only other times I’ve done that would probably be when the later Harry Potter books were released. I can still remember the joy and anticipation each time I clutched the newly-purchased novels, rushing home to devour them. Those were the days…
Okay that more or less concludes my week :) had an awesome time. Nothing like taking your liberty away from you to remind you how sweet freedom tastes!
