Alright so I was waiting at this bus stop for my friend’s dad to pick me up and this cute korean kid waddles up to me and plonks himself on the seat next to me. Didn’t quite catch his name but apparently he’s 4 and on his way to school! XD I love kids who aren’t shy/ squirmish abt everything and this kid was really well behaved too! :):)
Over cny I was playing slap jack...
CNY has definitely got my vote for the busiest holiday of the year. I just feel so tired right now nothing appeals to me… I just wanna go to bed. Super sian that I hafta go down to pair ris tml zzzz stupid cohesion event. Who on earth wants to go all the way down to the east at nine freaking thirty to play soccer -.-
when asked to guess a girl’s age, just say twenty. regardless.
Just observed the bus driver catching a fat china girl for not scanning her ez link card. I experienced a curious satisfaction and I am inclined to forgive smrt for all its past mistakes.
Transparency and communication are without a doubt two key traits of any effective cooperation; only when everything is made known to everyone that multiple agendas become aligned, enabling maximum efficiency. at the same time, its absence is also the cause of the greatest unhappiness.
There was a lot more of this post, strongly worded and full of teenage angst but I decided not to continue...
amigos para siempre
I once read a quote on friendship and it went something like that:
True friends spend years apart and pick up where they left off as though it were yesterday.
friends for life not just a summer or a spring
I’m glad to have found some
goodbye 2011
in 2011,
I survived BMT
and joined 160
I made new friends
and re-made old ones
I ran a half marathon
and then a marathon
I started Bible Study
and went church hopping
I planned a nice holiday
and that’s more than most can say
new year's eve
Hello blog, I feel like I’ve been neglecting you these past few months. In this brand new year of 2012, I hope to be able to blog more often, to pour more of my heartfelt sentiments onto this virtual medium and hopefully gain some comfort from doing so.
Blogging, in my opinion, is kinda like writing, and it really offers solace when you do it frequently. In a strange inexplicable way it...

rain
Its seriously amazing that the rain can go on for such extended periods. I mean, from the moment I wake till the moment I go to bed, there’s like, barely an hour uninterrupted by rain! (And that’s not to say that I spend very little time awake either.)
As a result of this unceasing rain, heading out has become a major headache, and I’m thankful if I even make it to the mrt...
A Fall From Freedom
That’s the name of the docu-movie I caught during the weekend at Sinema Old School on top of Mt. Sophia. The place is located in between Plaza Singapura and Grand Cathay, and tbh I never knew it even existed! So we climbed about a thousand steps up this “mount” and found our way to this curious new place.
Initially I was kinda concerned that we might be watching this docu-movie...

latest episode of himym just blew my mind.
They say there are things to be grateful for every day. Today I’m just really thankful for my dad for being such a great cook, for knowing all my comfort food and without knowing it, just turning this day around :)
Caught a couple of movies today, Tintin and You Are The Apple Of My Eye. Rather satisfying I would say :DD I love watching movies because of the way they allow you to enter another world, a respite from this one that we inhabit. But of course, choosing the imagined world you wanna enter is vastly important too. Glad I managed to catch two good movies in a row :)
Visited a few interesting places this weekend, it was pretty fun :)
First of all was this place called The Tastings Room @ Marina Square. Its just next to the road there, between citilink and MS, but quite troublesome to find if you dont know its there. Here’s a picture of the interior:
It was raining quite heavily outside and probably cos of that so the place was relatively empty, and...
Has there ever been a second in your life, just one split second, which seemed to stretch on into eternity? The one moment in your life, so deeply etched in your mind that you just know you’ll never be able to erase it. I still remember.
My week at a glance
Its amazing how quickly I allowed myself to forget that I had to return to this place during the past week of leave. I’m glad I did; at least I managed to enjoy the brief respite from this stifling confined environment. The break, however short, was extremely welcome.
I’m also happy that I managed to accomplish a respectable amount of stuff during the past week, instead of just lying...
Okay I’m definitely taking part in a movie marathon someday :D

I was on exercise off, so in fact I’d booked out Thursday nite (heehee). Made a reservation at Au Petit Salut (like, finally!) and yup, on Friday we went down to Dempsey for brunch! :D Haha I’ve been wanting to go since forever and thankfully it...
funshion is stupid lah. I just discovered the reason why I had to wait more than two months for Covert Affairs to be uploaded: the episode covered smt pertaining to China —> cannot be uploaded by Funshion. -.-
I find myself blogging on the train increasingly often, cos its such a long ride from my house to town. Wonder why I didn’t use to find it long; I took the train frm newton to sembawang practically everyday in secondary 1 and 2. Hmm.
Anyways, just had dindin @ chijmes :) its really pretty at night, with all the lights and the very special tree. Hope they get a Christmas tree this year,...

When I was in J2 and applying for OCIP, I remember telling the interviewers that I wanted to get to a place “far away from civilisation” so that I could be alone with my thoughts.
The dramatic irony was that I failed to realise that such an opportunity had long been made available to me, in my not-so-distant future, courtesy of every Singaporean son’s most dreaded system. This...
At my favourite angel place now and the food and ambience are both pretty awesome :D
Have never really been a vegetable kinda guy, but the salad here’s really tasty, with all the nutty flavour
This is my apology
yay full marks for ftt :D finished the third draft of my personal statement and i just wanna sleep now
Audits are our greatest fear. And cuz everyone’s so scared of findings, we end up doing nothing all week long (y)
I have decided that if I ever get a scholarship, I shall buy an ipad with the laptop money :) RIP Steve Jobs.
love is a little haven of refuge from the world
I think weddings are really magical.
Haven’t been to a wedding in a long long time, since I was a little kid actually. I wonder why no relatives have been getting married hmm… or maybe my parents just secretly went without me knowing, or maybe I didn’t care that much about weddings while growing up. Anyway, today I went for my biao yi’s wedding. She’s my...
Wicked!
So I recently found out that my brother had bought the book Wicked a couple of years back so I decided to read it in camp cos the plot sounded interesting. Managed to finish reading it this week and I quite liked the entire thing! It reads like a literature text; the starting parts were a little difficult to access, but after that the themes become more apparent.
Its essentially the...
yay Wicked tix! :D

Never really been a fan of How I Met Your Mother, mainly cos I associated it with slapstick humour, but I just watched the first three episodes of the new season, and I believe that there might be something deep going on here. Kinda interested to see how it will all play out

Just sent tianhui off at t1 and a part of me wishes it was me flying away. Wonder if I’ll be as brave as her and be able to take off as gracefully. I suppose the adrenaline will take most of the nerves off but once the trepidation sets in… :/
byebye xiaotian! :) haha she’s so cute, she gave me a raincheck on that hug lolol.
Taking a looong bus ride home now. I look at all...
I need a more succinct summary of what my daily life is like. Somehow people don’t quite believe it when I tell them I “eat sleep slack” everyday.
lying in bed just listening to music feels awesome.
wonder why i dont do it more often
Ex. Swallow v. 2.0
Came back from outfield yesterday and it was really as slack as I had predicted. Not in terms of the physical demands, which was roughly the same because each deployment is identical, but in terms of the mental stress level. After all, this was an outfield meant for the specialist cadets.
On the whole I have to say tt all the spec trainees sucked big time. Their training had obviously been...
